I've never been too found of it. In my company the HR person has it for me as "Data Business Administrator". :hehe:
I'm not huge on tittles so I've never bothered to have it changed.

It's not the title so much - I don't recall ever having DBA as a job title (no jokes please, people!)...
People in general tend to pigeon-hole everyone that works with databases as an 'administrator'.
I don't know...something about it just grates on me a little.
Probably just venting...as you were.

Heck better Database Administrator than Database Developer. There's an average $20k difference in their salaries in the US. What I really do is develop databases, but I put down DBA on my resume 'cause I want the big bucks, not that I've seen them yet.

Depends on your relationship with the rest of your team... I've known people that thought DBA was ok since it was mostly use to define individuals with titles like that of the first in your list but more along these lines... Replace(@Title, 'ociate', 'hole')

It depends.
Fragments of an ancient parchment, recovered in a sealed jar from the sunken city of R'Lyeh, and allegedly written by Abdul Alhazred, maintain that the datatype itself varies with ARID. (fnord Cthulhu fhtagn fnord)
Theoretically, it's n-dimensional.
Just to play it safe I always expressly CONVERT it to SQL_VARIANT.

That's interesting. It's different here - DBA is more junior - in fact many people regard the 'admin' as someone who just changes the tapes...:-)
