    Well yes, some kind of quality management should be considered....

    but who will do this?

    After all this site is run by Andy, Brian and Steve who all have a fulltime job and a family life. Keeping this all together and staying current is a d*mn hard job.

    While this is no excuse or whatsoever (that's not my job anyway ) maybe they should consider asking the community for some help.

    That's what a community is for, right?

    Helping each other.

    Curious what happens now.

    What surprises me is that 44% responded the incorrect "correct" answer (DESC).

    No wonder all these companies are in serious restructuring...

    When you actually READ and then RE-READ the question . Then select the correct answer. You get it WRONG.

    Sounds just like Program Development.

    The signed spec says one thing , but it's the wrong solution.

    so i'm not the only one. i actually did spend a few extra minutes to see where i was wrong. but then i realize that its gotta be a typo on the site. its cool..

    I'm glad to see I'm not losing the plot. Answering a question correctly and recieving no points for it is not the end of the world. I'm sure we'll all get over it eventually!

    Ah Ha, I thought, clever trick question with an answer most will pick that will remove the top 5% of their sales team. I pick the right answer "None of the above" and...

    WTF?!? NOOOOOOOOOO!

    OK so the answer was wrong and we want our points back - but not at the cost of losing the QOD section!

    I look forward to the QOD each morning and would hate it to be dropped because of whining.

    This is supposed to be a bit of fun in the morning and to help expand your SQL knowledge. It clearly lives up to the task so for all of those complaining about lack of standards, I look forward to seeing your question of the day posted soon. let it go!

    C'mon guys, get real.

    I think we are all big enough and PROFESSIONAL enough to know the correct answer to this straight forward question.

    Granted, some QOD are open enough to offer some interesting discussion. But this one was easy and you should all know it.

    This is trivial stuff guys...move on!

    Having a full time job and family to look after and still these guys are doing a great job. After all we do get support for fee.

    Wow, huge error on that one...sorry guys. The answer has been modified now and if you'd like to reanswer, it will allow you to now. My apologies for that one. I've done 153 of these now and I occasionally miss something obvious like this one.

    Ok, DESC was missing which I'm sure was a simple oversight. Sometimes the only way to arrive at the 'right' answer is to choose the 'least wrong' answer.

    Wow! wot a lot of grumps. Read the newsletter and thought about answer, then had to do some work (boss is watching). Came back and thought, got caught like this before, so went to web site and lo and behold answers changed. Picked correct answer and got it right. Phew! No complaints here

    Far away is close at hand in the images of elsewhere.
