Can you check what other activities are hampering box?
Do you see any other process on the box?
Have you tried rebooting once as the page file might cause this...

As its in place upgrade make sure you have proper backups...

If the session of that particular user is killed or ended it might ask you to reopen the session. That time it will popup the window.
Or It might be SQL...

Can you check the user accessing reports has proper access and has login in place.

The Below script will create the DB for you. Just change the path in the script.
