Gail - do you know anything about SS2008's DBCC CHECKDB adding in checks for sys.parameters?

Not that I know of. Maybe ask the Master (Paul Randal)?

p.s. if the DBs were created on 2005 the Data_Purity wouldn't have been required. Would have been done by default.

Easy - since the ceilings are 12ft, we used our compound bow with a shoe mounted to the end of an arrow - and shot the shoes at the ceiling.

This made me remember... when my kids were younger, one was making spaghetti. He took the pan off the stove - without hot mitts. When he dropped the pan, the sauce shot up to the ceiling.

We still joke him about spilling dinner on the ceiling...

(I'm not even bothering with the "Mr." Celko -- IMHO, he doesn't deserve the title or any such respect when he does nothing to earn it.)

Let's just say that if you and I have an informal chat about a problem and come to the agreement that X is a bad way of going about things and maybe we should consider alternatives and then you go to management and tell them that the system is useless because it can't do X and that I said X was impossible and that I'm being uncooperative, I'm going to be mildly peeved.
