I had a similar problem... there's not much out there, is there!!
I use the servername\IIS_WPG account in SQL2000 for my ASP.NET applications on SERVER 2003... try using that & all...

Be aware that using ACCESS will require each user to have it (ACCESS) installed on their machine with a licence for each.

Hi Julie,
Apparently the default is the first 8 rows only, this value being stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\Excel\TypeGuessRows
If you set the value to 0, the number of source rows scanned is 16384!
There's some logic...
